La Prensa reports here: "According to preliminary data, the Panama Canal has set a record for tonnage during the last fiscal year, which ended Friday.
During the year, the tonnage that transited the Canal was 322.1 million tons, which is the highest of all time.
The figure marked an increase of 7.1 percent compared to the 300.8 million tons that transited the Canal in the 2009-10 fiscal year. The previous record was 312.9 tons in 2007."
